Kristen is a friend of my daughter, and knew I was looking in a particular neighborhood and kept eye out for me. While I was hospitalized, she contacted my daughter, told me the house I was interested in, had just been reduced $5,000. Within a couple days my offer was accepted, and I got my home. I was admittedly worried about the difficulty in selling my property in Gainesville all the way from Arizona. I was afraid I was going to have to make a bunch of costly trips back to FL to make repairs, sign papers and participate in a closing. Kristen eased my concerns from the very beginning. She knows a guy who does everything from yard clean up to painting and drywall. She was very quick in letting me know if there was a change that needed to be made. She was very reliable in getting “paperwork” to me via email when something needed to be signed. She made the process painless for me! Thank you! If Kristen can be amazing from 2000+ miles away, I can only imagine how helpful and wonderful she would be in the same county!
Kristen is so very helpful, knowledgeable, patient, responsive and enjoyable to work with. I was new to Gainesville though I knew the general area I wanted to live in. After serious interest in a couple of houses did not work out, I returned home(out of state) for a while continuing to look at listings she sent. When I found “the perfect house” and asked Kristen to go out and take a look (fully trusting at this point that she well knew my likes and dislikes) she went over and beyond. She went out that morning, we had a detailed FaceTime visit of every inch of the house inside and out and when I knew it was the right house she quickly got together comps so that I could make an offer the next day(same time another offer was being made). Offer accepted and I had time to get to Gainesville during the inspection period and see the house up close and personal. I would never have made an offer, even with the inspection period as backup

I’ve been actively looking for a home in Gainesville since January of 2017, at first with another agent at another brokerage, who was well qualified but things just were not working out. What attracted me to the Thomas Group was their web site, which allowed superior search filters, such as “without” a pool, not just “with” one. Isn’t it odd that so many other sites missed this, since so many buyers want a home without a pool? The Thomas website makes it easy to do a simple search, but also offers fine-tuning for those who want it, such as with HOA, without HOA, horse property, adult community, community fitness room, community playground, community pool, gated community, golf community, tennis community, and many, many more. Reducing the “haystack” made it so much easier to identify legitimate prospects for me.
Looking at other reviews here and the activity levels led me to work with Kristen, who turned out to be spectacular in so many ways. After arriving at Gainesville to look at the homes on my initial list from the web site, Kristen zeroed in on the kinds of homes I would like and found the one I bought, just what I wanted.
Kristen is easy to get along with and pleasant, like almost all agents. Some people like me prefer an agent who will volunteer defects or plusses in homes as you tour, and Kristen was excellent in that respect, matching my assessment in areas where I was knowledgeable. Also not shy about saying “I don’t know” but will find out. Some buyers prefer to form their own opinions without distractions from an agent, and this was the mode Kristen started out with, but switched over at my request. Just be aware that buyers have different preferences about tour styles and let your agent know what you prefer.
When time came to make an offer, Kristen did the best job I’ve seen in adjusting comparables to estimate a fair value for the home. The home inspection uncovered a sticking point, and Kristen thoroughly researched the possible remedies and really made it possible for me to buy the home. Kristen never rushed me or pressured me.
This was my seventh home purchase and Kristen was far the most expert and helpful agent I have worked with. Highly, highly recommended.
